Cleaning inside frame

While working on my front suspension I seem to be catching a case of shipwrights disease. I noticed that inside my frame was a bunch of what appears to be sand. Either a PO media blasted the inside (not likely) or drove a lot on gravel roads (or maybe it's just from my driving alone?). Either way, I took a shop vac to the front ends of the frame (with radiator protector pan off) and to a couple of side vent holes and sucked a copious amount of this sand out. I know there still has to be more in there. Anyone devise a good way to clean out the inside of the frame (with the rest of the car still attached)? I reversed the vac so it was in blower mode and hit the same holes (very messy!). How many different compartmentalized areas are in the frame? I'd like to Waxoyl the frame once clean.

I had my frame off the car and sandblasted it and am still finding little pools of sand around the garage. After blasting I tilted the frame all different directions to try and get it out. Blowing compressed air into the frame will work to some degree, but there are many little compartments in the frame.

Try to pick up some of the "sand" with a magnet to make sure it's not metallic. I found some small bits of gravel in my TR frame and a very small amount of "dust" which turned out to be very fine rusted frame metal.
