Dear All,
I'm writing because the Auto Restorer magazine has closed. I have been reading it for several years and am looking for a replacement. Are there other restoration magazines that you recommend?
Are there auto restoration books that you have found useful with your cars?
Thanks.

I like Popular Classics and Practical Classics, that said I stopped getting magazines - there is so very much on the interwebnet that is marque or repair specific that I just really can't be bothered to purchase.

I used to like Classic Motorsports and subscribe but now it is just auction results and other things I can't afford.

In other news, through Facebook I joined the Classic Car Restoration Club - for $2! (regular $49 - really! would they lie?! :grin:smile: For which I get access to all their videos and innumerable emails urging me to upgrade for $6, $7, $8, $8.99, $10 - depending on the day  It is causing me all kinds of stress because even at $2 annually I don't have time to watch everything - but in many ways the content is more relevant to me.

I hate to say it but I really can't think of a good reason - other than a club newsletter - and even those come in PDF - to subscribe to a magazine any more.

Thanks a lot for sharing your best choices for restoration information. I agree that having too much information sent to me is something to avoid. On the other hand, I used to read Auto Restorer regularly near bedtime and it helped me unwind with car stuff; and, taught me things. Thanks again.
