Thanks for posting, Tom. These photos have a certain "quality" of 50s and 60s film. Can you photography guys explain it? Have they been subject to any digital enhancements?

I doubt the have been enhanced. However I think part of the answer is in your question - film - not digital, plus the developing process (Kodachrome?) you get a similar colour saturation in post war movies of the 50's and early 60's. I would also say there is likely a different quality of light in Australia. I have a friend who is originally from South Africa - he could tell if a picture was taken in Canada or Florida - or SA for that matter.
