Rollover Bar BN6

Hi guys

I am considering a Rollover Bar for my BN6, but the only ones I can find are braced for a RHD car (the cross brace goes from bottom left to top right looking from the rear or the car) and mine is LHD.

Does it matter?

What are your plans for the car; high speed competitive events, or just some added safety/appearance for a street/fast-road car?

I've knocked together a couple, both complying with the SCCA's GCR. This one could use a couple more strategically placed tubes, to absorb side/corner deformation, but it's an alternative to a forward-facing diagonal support. This would be considered a street bar (fits under top, but passes broomstick test for me) but it is in conformity with the GCR.

Thanks Randy. Rolling my own is very tempting... do you use mild steel? If so what gauge?

Anyhow its for added safety/appearance for a street/fast-road car. A full cage is overkill (sorry!).

That's 1-1/2" OD x .120" wall 4130 (chromium molybdenum) welded w/ER70S (mild steel) for ductility.

"Rolling your own" isn't as hard as it looks, and nowadays, plenty of computer-aided programs to help; just need access to a bender ;)
