Shortly after enlisting in the Air Force and having been stationed at Langley AFB, I rented a small bungalow a couple blocks off Buckroe Beach. First time I walked toward the beach I went into a small Ma & Pa "general store". Picked up some hot dogs and buns. On checkout, I thank him and Pa says: "Yallcombacanseeusnawheah!" Struck me about three seconds later as to what he'd said. First time I'd ever heard it in person, thought it was only used in the movies.
I normally speak flat midwestern, can speak Pittsburghese and Down East (ayah, Mainah). Even a bit o' BritSpeak. Still not fluent in Sothun after all these years.
