TR2/3/3A Starting my TR3 A restoration

I picked up my TR3 A a couple of summers ago and I'm finally getting started on the restoration. I hope to be able to chronicle the build with lots of pictures. This is actually my first restoration but in the past I built a Factory Five 427 Cobra and a Daytona Coupe. I'm looking forward to the learning curve.

The battery look good !
Actually that is about the shape my first TR3A was in when I bought it. This looks like a solid car. Hope there is not too much rust.
Good luck.

Hello Jeff

At least you are starting with the car all together so you can document all the parts as you do the work. I see you have a few extra parts as well.
Does it run and drive at the moment?
Good luck.
Keep us posted.

David, it ran and drove when I got it. I will be rebuilding the engine also. Here are some picks as of last night. Most of the cage nuts were frozen so I had to cut them off which made for slow going.

I would suggest if possible using WD40 and some heat form a small bottle on some of those caged nuts along with some vise grips to hold the cage tight, but sometimes they are fused together. keep posting it is better than TV!

Better than TV isn't too difficult. Sometimes I go to the barbershop and watch them give haircuts.
That's also better than TV.:welcoming:
