All that bling and you have to control it with the crappy stock steering wheel.....Ugh.

Nice nasty boy, even though the stock wheel is a bit like a hangnail on a homecoming queen.

Painted wires are tasteful. Kudos to the 4-wheel discs and nice dashboard.

Oh come on, it's more like a cold sore.....

Looks like pretty nice work. One question, is that a locking door handle on the drivers door? If so, where can you get one?
Thanks,

Thanks,

That's the stock, original door handle on the early 100-Sixes. I know, it's ridiculous as you can just unsnap the top and reach inside to open the door, or slide the side curtain plastic forward and reach inside.

I think they're pretty rare to find used, and I don't know of any sources for reproductions (I didn't say that there weren't any; I just don't know about them if there are any), but you might try the usual suspects that have used parts.

(Too bad that the guy installed the rear wing vents upside down :playful:smile:

Thanks Reid, I'll start looking. Maybe the BJ7 will be more secure since any perpetrator would have to slice the top to get in. LOL.

Im sure that's how they stole my BJ8-I in 1973. Car thieves just have no respect. It was never recovered.

That nasty boy really is a work of art though. As a recovering concours judge I'd opt for a new grille badge and a new heater control panel and knobs, and the original steering wheel doesn't bother me.

Love the name "Pandemonium"! (On the boot lid.)

Beautiful car, but I'm sure that locking door handle is way to heavy for a race car. I'll help you get better lap times by giving you my door handle. :wink-new:

You will need to modify the door slightly as the door shape around the handle is different in order to accommodate the key mechanism.

Fantastic build. I like everything about it, even the hard top modifications looks really good. Great colour scheme as well and kudos for not using chrome wire wheels.

That's a nice car also! LMC only sells top notch cars if you've ever seen their TV show. This says something for the build.

their website lists this car at 89,900 usd! doubt it will get anywhere close to that?

Hi All,

I do like the car and the work done looks top notch. If they really did spend $120K on the modifications and are now asking $70K with only 3500 miles on the post mod odometer, seems to be quite a loss. However, steering wheel or not, it must have been a heck of a redesign that I would love to have and drive. I like the overall presentation, its stance and the technical upgrades (disk brakes all round, LS engine vented properly, etc.) but I wonder if it has power steering or rack and pinion?

The LS aluminium engine probably weighs a lot less than the Healey lump. Who needs power steering?? but rack would certainly be an improvement.

rick I was wondering since there is a flexible cord hooked to the steering column that the steering might be changed. the ls engines are a bit wider than the ford or sbc engines I believe! I could not tell if there was a flexible coupling on the engine side of the firewall possibly indicating that the steering had been changed. I cant imagine that spending that kind of money would not entail rack and pinion steering. I saved a pic of the engine compartment to my computer and with magnication there does appear to be a flexible coupling in the steering immediately after the firewall...
