TR2/3/3A Throttle rod link to carburetor; basic questions

I've been out of commission for a few years and just putting my TR-3A back on the road. I've overhauled the carbs, which I removed years ago. Everything looks good EXCEPT I can't figure out how to connect the throttle rod (the long one with the ball sockets) to the carbs! I'm sure it's something simple, but I've been playing with it like a monkey for hours and can't figure it out. Please help! A photograph would be ideal, as all photos I can find are of removed carbs, or if they are on the car the picture is taken from the intake side and the throttle rod is below and on the engine side, and so out of view.

I suppose I could be missing a piece, but even assuming that I can't figure it out.....

While we are at it, there is a small diameter vacuum tube running from the vacuum advance on the distributor to the carb area. I can't figure out where to attach that, either.

Very frustrating to have such seemingly little things stump me, but there it is....

There should be a right angle bell-crank attached to the intake manifold below the front carb. Hard to see (and hard to photograph), but you can see the part where the long link attaches here

Then there is a short link that runs from the other arm of the bell-crank up to the lever on the front carb. (Note: the bolt head in my photo has been modified.)

The vacuum advance line goes to a port in the bottom of the front carb, which is basically invisible unless the carb is off the car. There is usually a small brass adapter that screws into the carb, then the line screws onto it. Kind of dirty, but here's a shot that shows it

Hello Ken

Good that you are back in commission and back working on the TR3A project.

Do you have the bell crank that mounts on the front end of the manifold?

The small tube threads into the small hole on the front carb. Between the flange on the right in the photo and the bowl retaining bolt.

That is not the carb going on my car it is a spare I had handy.
