This is my Scottish great uncle in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire. I guessed around 1910, the year it was made that is. Can anyone make an accurate year, make and model?
Thanks,
Geof

No. With reservations. At least not that model. The cowl (scuttle) is totally different, with the recent photo showing scuttle extended well forward of the windscreen and a bulkhead...not seen in the ancient photo.
External topbows different. Rear body horizontal lines different. Doors, or lack thereof. 10 spoke versus 12 spoke wheels.

I think it may be a Rover.

Look at the difference in Rover radiator tops and the one in Geof's original photo. Photo shows rounded top; Rovers are square.

That's one of the reasons I think it's an Austin.

Not sure I agree with you. I don't think there was any standard radiator tops and It occurs to me that many manufacturers used common suppliers. If I am wrong I will at crow.

The first car and the second car has the gas tank in different positions. the second car has a scuttle tank, don't know where the car in questions tank is. Supposedly being British, I have no idea what the car is. PJ

Question, what do modern cars have to do with the gentleman's question on a family antique? Nothing. :rolleyes2:

Keep posting please - we do get easily distracted - and the interwebnet isn't always the medium for clearest understanding -

let's get back to the car even though I really can't add anything to that conversation.
