In reality, if I recall correctly, the XK's were designated by alleged top speed.
So slapping a 3.8 into a 120 would probably give you 130, but then you have the 140 with a 3.4 and oh, dear.

righto. yeah the mercedes number system was pretty convoluted, the volvo numbering was a bit more rational.
almost done with my grading, then its all car projects for a week or two.
