Hi all, looking forward to reading other LBC posts and learning as much as I can about these cars. Had a 76' Spitfire many years ago that developed some problems and I neither had the money, nor a proper space to work on the car, so I sold it. I just recently picked up a 66' Sprite that is in need of a complete restoration. Everything rebuilt, major bodywork, the whole shebang. I spent many years as a plant mechanic, welder, fabricator, electrician and I'm chomping at the bit to get going on this little car. It's 99% complete and original, except for later model seats. Thanks!

No, it isn't roadworthy and hasn't been since 1987, according to the guy I got it from. I know it's going to be a ton of work, but it's something I've always wanted to do, that being a ground up restoration.

At least it is all together. My TR3A was taken off the road about the same time, dissembled and some restoration done. I brought it home in pieces.

Yes, it's all in one piece. I was worried it would be cobbled up at some point, but all the numbers match my heritage certificate, as well as the color and trim. I've been taking tons of photos and will do videos of the disassembly, so I can remember how it goes back together. At 57, I aint as sharp as I used to be.

Ziploc bags with notes in them along with photos before disassembly. Wish the PO had done that for me.

Yep, bought a bunch of different size ziploc bags off ebay and everything I've disassembles so far is labeled and accounted for. And Basil, I drove pretty close to the Az, New Mexico border to pick up my car. A little town called Duncan Az. That was a fun day.
