Securing the Tonneau on a 3000 MkII

We have a BJ7 (i.e. roll up windows) and - per an earlier thread - have finally got the rear seats secured. Previously, air pressure would lift the seats and the tonneau would then inflate such that I couldn't use the dash-mounted mirror.
The tonneau has a set of flaps that appear to be designed to contain some clips to allow them to be anchored to the vertical steel bulkhead in front of the rear seat squabs. I can't find specific details of (if!) what was originally installed (e.g. lift-a-dot; Tenax; turn-button; etc.), and would appreciate some advice here.
Thanks, Doug

I am not quite with you on this one, there is a bar ( comes in two halves and slots together) and drops into small sockets just to the rear of the B posts. the tonneau can fold over this and drops down behind the driver/passenger seats. The tonneau is fixed to the rear (just above the trunk) with two tennax fixings and again along the sides just to the rear of the doors with two Tennax fixings. The Tonneau may also have two flaps in it which I believe are to let the seat belt through and would otherwise be closed with a couple of push button fixings. I hope that this may be of some help.

There should have been holes in the wall for the fasteners. If not you can make some. They take the Tennon type fasteners. Its a pain so we usually just zip it down. The other flap by the door is for the seat belt. Moss sells "detachable" three point belts. You have to detach them when you put on or off the tonneau cover. And yes there is suppose to be a two piece bar to support the tonneau.

Failed the IQ test again: turns out my bulging/flapping issue was due to the rear seat pans not being secured and allowing air from under the car to come up under the tonneau. Out on the highway today with the seat pans screwed in place, and didn't appear to be a problem. Thanks guys! Doug
