Shifting from Vancouver - one of the many hundreds of economic refugees from that over-priced seaside city - I now get to experience life 'behind the Tweed Curtain' in this former bastion of British conservativism, that tries to preserve the status quo behind Garry oaks and faux half-timbered houses.
Luckily the city is becoming less the home of "the newly wed and the nearly dead" and is one of the few places in Canada in which one can drive a British classic all months of the year.
