I thought I was wise to buy two extra rebuilding kits for my clutch master cylinder in my TR 4A. I now see from the Moss manual a statement that no rebuilding kits will work in the aftermarket “new“ master cylinder.
I already put the seals on and installed them. They seem extremely tight, in fact, too tight. I’m fairly certain my master cylinder is a new aftermarket one, as it appears quite new. I’m not the original owner of the car. No surprise.
Can this be correct? The kits I have really are no good? There’s some reason that they actually make the seals a different size now in the new master cylinder?
I guess I’ll just order an entirely new master cylinder which would’ve been a better use of my money in the first place.
Any thoughts?
