TR2/3/3A For those with blue/white/black TR3 badges

I have a nice collection of Triumph and Standard badges and have catalogued the versions I am aware of. On your badges with the black ribbon on the bottom, are the letters "TR 3" done in black or blue enamel? Mine has black letters.

The letters & number on mine are black. So far as I know this badge was used for only a short time, possibly just early 1959.

If you want to rough out a beginning and end to the change - mine is TS47905L, built 15 Apr 1959.

Thanks,

I just received one by mail and was surprised to see the letters were black also. None of the posts I can find on this badge mentioned this and I just thought they would be blue.
