Do I need to lubricate the splines on the tranny input shaft when assembling to the engine? Can't rem if I did or didn't last time.

Mark,
I use motor oil on the splines and the nose and wipe it down with a rag so it will have a very light coat.

Thanks guys. I thought I remembered using a light bit of lubricant. The workshop manual does not mention lubrication, unless that is just understood.
