I bought a '73 Midget 10 years ago--garage stored--no rust--ran--needed work! No smog check for '73 in CA---So I figured I would
get rid of all the smog stuff, and make it a nice running '63 Midget. (what's old is new again!). Fuel tank from a '63--no evaporative loss
control--removed the piping to the vapor cannister (charcoal)--and the cannister--removed the air pump--and air manifold--my engine
man plugged the holes in the head during the engine rebuilding. Installed a '63 radiator--proper hoses, and thermostat cover on the head.
removed the "gulp" valve--replaced the twin SU's with a single HS4 and manifold--K&N air filter--Then the rest of the restoration--
new brakes and brake pipes--front brake calipers, rotors and pads--new brake and clutch master cylinders--new alternator--new wiring
loom--all new interior--and convertible top. Petronix ignition. My engine man also rebuilt the tranny. After completely stripping the Midget,
flat-bedded it to the paint shop--got it back and started putting it all back together--more pics to follow--
