A little winter drive

We've not been having much winter here this year -- which is not a great thing for us from a water standpoint. The upside is that the driveway back to my shop is snow-free. Today it got up to 44f and I had a bit of spare time. Was out working in the shop and decided to see if Maggie would fire up. Connect the battery, choke out, and she fired right up after sitting for a couple months. Couldn't resist taking her out for a short drive up to the snow gate at one of the local passes. A nice 30 minute drive.

Where I'm parked should have a few feet of snow this time of year. Sad to see it so low in February.

That is such a lovely car - though it looks a little like a snowbank with chrome.

A friend of mine in my local club calls it the turtle. It is easy to spot in a row of low-slung sports cars -- she's probably twice as tall as most of them.

We haven't been hit too hard here in Maryland, but even at the slightest hint of snow, the road crews dump incredible amounts of salt on the roads. If I took B.B. out, she'd be a pile of ferrous oxide before I got to the end of the block. It's so bad, I won't even take my road bike out until the rain washes this stuff away, which has only happened once since January 1st. .
