    Wheel bearings

    Folks,

What is the brand of choice for front wheel bearings?
    I am thinking Timken.

    Thanks.

I use Timken, found the best prices at Rockauto for them though I haven't bought in a while.

    Re: Wheel bearings

Timken is good, but so is almost any brand name IMO (National, SKF, etc). The ones to watch out for are the "no name" plain white box (typically from India but not always), which are also sometimes repackaged under other names like County & Bap-Geon.

Don't forget, when buying from RockAuto, each bearing is a cone plus a cup. They sell them separately.

    Re: Wheel bearings

I used TRF - NFI, just it was a complete kit of quality parts. As said above, cheaper prices can be found elsewhere; I paid for the convenience - and my lack of knowledge on a lot of the nuances...
