MGB Help!

MGB is running just fine after the fuel pump replacement and I used the elcheapo found on eBay. I just haven’t posted here lately and wanted to see who’s still out there and I’ve neglected the MGB forum as I finish up the Bugeye and TR4a as I make preparations for moving in 9 to 12 months. The new shop will have a house and room for all my LBC stuff and my wife, God bless her, will have her garage space back as she’s parking outside now. I’m sitting here with the flu, yep the real flu praying that my wife does not get it since Thanksgiving is just around the corner...the family can do without me, but not her. So, who’s around and what’s you current status, cars or otherwise?

Sorry you're under the weather - take in lots of fluids, yada, yada...

Pretty much just marking time here. Both the '73 B and the '69 GT are running great. Have the battery disconnected on the '73, but will hook it up from time to time over the winter to make a few drives when the weather's decent. GT can go whenever.

The Victor TF is still idle; waiting on the engine to come back from the machine shop. Then I can put it together over the winter. Still waiting for an opening at the painter's; frustrating, that, but not much I can do about it. I did manage to score a set of five very nice wire wheels from a TR3. Had them sandblasted and powder coated, and then ran them over to Hendrix Wire Wheels for them to do their magic and install a set of tires.

Flu at the holidays is bad news! Take care of yourself!

I just completed cleaning the fuel tank on my MGTD. Got rid of the yellow/green glop that was floating around down there.

Before that, replaced the entire brake system (not m/c or drums); 60 year old original parts can hold some surprises once you start driving the car again.

Here's the TD with the Lucas FT-10 fog lamp I just added. Replaced the burned out 1980s green rectangular lamps.

Needless to say, I enjoy driving - and working on - this car!

Cars are all away for the winter now. MGB needs a fresh engine, just haven't had time to tackle it yet. I'm trying to convince a friend of mine to sell me her old, rusty but strong running BGT so I can give her engine a new home. Otherwise I need to pull the engine and rebuild it. Glad to have the car back in the fleet anyways.

While the new shop has heat, it's not really insulated yet -- and snow is already on the ground. Still, the space is lovely to have. You will really enjoy your new space once you can get there

Ms Triss is put to bed for the winter - parked in a Condo garage not too too far from here. The Vauxhall is moved to the more accessible side of the garage. Hopefully to keep at it. Fall is my busy busy time of year and it has been particularly stressful this fall (work not home) so not much car work - and there have been home renos and a couple of trips taking priority.

This week again away and after your guys Thanksgiving, we are getting to a warm spot for a week or so.

Drew the garage looks amazing, a veritable sea of Old English Whiteness! The light is lovely coming in through the windows. Be well Rut, we need to get our flu shots soon!

Looking good guys! JP, I’ve learned my lesson this year...I normally get my flu shot in September, but my old, feeble brain let me down this year!
