I just purchased this car and plan on doing a complete restoration. I going to be asking lots of questions on the forum, and many others I've been in contact with before buying it. It took about one year to work out a deal with the seller, but we got it done. Thank you to the seller.

For now I can only download one picture I'll try to get more later.

Looks good.
Be aware that they wrapped the glass around the frane tubes and that inevitably results in rust - the frame tubes are lighter than modern exhaust tubing and you can't tell until you remove the fiberglass how bad they are corroded.

I cut my body off the frame to replace the missing/rotted frame tubes, and then glassed in channels and pads so I could bolt the body back on instead of bonding it.

If the tubes rust, they generally expand the fibreglass that they are wrapped with.
outrigger tubs and the rear tube are the ones that usually rust. These can be replaced without removing the body....I have done many.

Yeah, we started that way but the corrosion was extended into the triangulation points and we'd have had to cut most of the glass away anyhow, so stripping the chassis right out of the body gave me the chance to do a really good job, blast and paint the whole frame, and make it a bolt on, which is much nicer if the body ever needed to come off again.

On another note, there was a reason the early car bodies where bonded to the chassis....for strength!
"A" pillars take a beating if the inner structure is not supported properly.
