Rut, I thought you were asking the question about quality of clutch assemblies because you were unhappy that your previous LUK clutch had "gone up in smoke." And, unless you had put 80,000 miles on it or more, or you were a clutch-rider, which I think extremely unlikely, it would seem that the LUK was of poor quality. And yet, it seems you have ordered another. This puzzles me.
What's the deal?

Poor choice of words on my part, but two days before Thanksgiving last year my shop burned taking all the restored parts for the Bugeye and two TR4as along with the 5 speed trannies, kits, tools, etc. I didn’t mean to give the impression that the LUK brand was of inferior quality, I just wanted to make sure the new clutch was a good one.
