Frustration has started but car wont.

Last week she started up just fine. This week after fixing brake issue she cranks and cranks. I have spark. I have fuel to carbs. One of the carbs leaks a bit from the float bowl. It wants to start when I add fuel into the carb. Hmm any ideas?

Possibly gummed up needle valves that are glued shut right now. Shoot some carb cleaner in the bowl inlets. I like to keep it simple too - some spray starting fluid in the carbs should get the engine to fire, that would help eliminate other issues.

I agree that is a likely cause. You can open the top of the fuel bowls (one nut, " Whitworth IIRC but you can use a crescent wrench or maybe a 12mm open wrench) and peek inside. Should be nearly full of fuel but if they are dry that is your answer.

Is this the car that was making all the noise? But anyways my experience has been tractor motors fowl out spark plugs easily. I pull the plugs and look to see if they are carboned up or too wet with fuel to start then go from there.
