Austin Cambridge MK2

Hello,
Recently I became the proud owner of an Austin Cambridge MK2 that is going to be a long term restoration.
I have done some searching on the internet but the results have been inconclusive so could someone please:
1) Give me any suggestions for a good parts supplier(s)?
2) The car I now own is so good that it came with the engine block in the trunk/boot. I am thinking of upgrading to something that is better, and have heard this may be possible with the V8 that came out in the MGs. Can anyone confirm if this is possible and if it is a straight swap or more complicated?
Appreciate any advice you may have. As I have spent most of my adult life fiddling with Australian Chryslers and American Mopars this Austin thing is totally foreign to me.
Regards,
Ron

Try NTG motor services in the UK. As for the engine swap, you can probably do what you like, but it doesn't stop with just that, brakes, suspension and a lot of little
bits also come into play. I only mention this as my Sunbeam Tiger is very nice but the bigger engine makes routine service a headache. I never look forward the changing the plugs.
Post some photos, would love to see your example.

Welcome Ron! and sounds like a great car. Kipmotors https://www.kipmotor.com/ in Texas is I think, good - though not sure how competative their prices are.

I would also suggest you get involved in an appropriate Car Club https://www.austincounties.org.uk/

This guy is in NZ and put a Mazda V6 in his Vauxhall - worth a look as it is a magnificent engineering job!

My understanding is that getting parts to OZ is expensive so, if you can do local engineering so much the better.

In the meantime, please post pics and please please please hang around - there are a couple of County Car owners here but they rarely post. Curious cars are always welcome!
