Near the battery there's a pint can of hydraulic fluid.

From the bottom of the can, there's a clear PVC tube leading to a T splitter, to two tubes feeding the rear dampers (shock absorbers).

There's no connection to the front dampers.
I'm just guessing here, but I think the previous owner, who was in his 80s, may have set up this system so he wouldn't have to crawl under the car to top off the dampers.
Is there any danger in doing this? As long as there's fluid in that "auxiliary" reservoir near the battery, the two rear dampers will always be full of fluid.
Just logical common sense? or is there a problem lurking?
