Paint lifting

Any paint experts out there?
My BT7 was painted with 2 pack about 8 years ago to a pretty high standard. It remains unmarked, however, I have noticed a small area where the paint seems to have lifted.
There is an area about 2in by 1/2 in in the crease under one of the tonneau fitting studs at the rear which seems to have lifted slightly. It is hardly noticeable however I do not want it to get larger. It may have been like this for some years and I only noticed it when I removed the tonneau which has been on the car since I bought it two years ago.
Should I just leave it or should I put a pin hole in it so when the body gets hot it does not cause the area under the paint to expand?
Any advice appreciated
cheers
Steve

Ugh. I'm not a 'paint expert,' but I've done a fair share of auto painting. What usually lifts paint is rust (sorry). Clear coat can peel off if, for example, the clear was shot after the base coat had too much time to cure. Flaking, fisheye and orange peel have other causes.

It sounds like the lifting area is on the rear shroud, which would be aluminum. It may be because the primer used may not be suitable for aluminum. I would think putting a pinhole in it would allow water to seep in and worsen the problem.

Pictures speak a thousand words . Is it just one blister or a bubbling lumpy section .
If its just one blister it could be a section of paint where there was contamination of the primer and the paint hasnt bonded to the primer . If its multiple small blisters or bubbles in a patch then thats probably some form of corrosion .
Post a pic and you probably get a lot more input .

Thanks for your comments
It is one blister.
I found photograph of the area as it was 2 years ago and the blister has almost doubled in size lengthways since then. It is in the concave crease under the tonneau fixing stud and not very noticeable however I am concerned about it getting bigger. I am not sure if a paint shop can do a localised repair on a two pack surface,
I will monitor the blister and contact a body repair shop with a good reputation for paint jobs and get their advice.
Thanks again
Steve

Just curious, what is a 'two pack' paint job? Here in the Colonies, you have one- and two-stage jobs; the former is (usually) catalyzed--lacquer excepted--the latter being a base/clear (I think).

Two pack paint is where the paint (colour ) has an activator added to activate the hardening . Without it the paint would never set fully . You use the two pack paint then clear on top if desired .
