Slide Rail

I took the top off my 57 100-6 and 6 months later I can't remember which is the left or right slide rail bracket.
Can anyone tell me if the little stop goes to the front or back of the car. Thanks

I haven't had the top on in about 4 years and it has shrunk. I put it out in the Florida sun for over an hour and still couldn't get it pulled on. I resorted to using ratchet tie downs to try and stretch it into place with no luck. Anyone have any other suggestions? Or is it ruined and need a new one? 99.9% of the time I will have the top down anyways but would like to have the option in case I get caught in the rain.

I doubt it is ruined. Your method of stretching looks good but you can't actually install the top that way. You have to hook the front of the top over the lip on the windshield & clamp and then make sure the bottom of the top legs are slid as far forward as possible and then snap the rear snaps. I usually try to stretch the center ones to fasten and then work my way one by one out & around to the doors. I apologize if you are already trying this but in the photo it look like you have fastened the rear and are trying to pull the front into place - OK to stretch the top material but not to actually install the top.

Yes I had the rear already snapped in place. I will try your method next time. Thanks
