Hi
I am installing my new ARP head studs (hand tight). Pretty sure I had them seated all the way. I am in the process of torquing the nut (at 70 lbs-ft now). But, on the right side of the engine, three studs appear to have more threads exposed (front, middle and rear stud). Is this normal? It's not a huge difference but, noticeable to the naked eye - say 2mm.
I checked all the stud lengths carefully when installing and compared them to the old studs that came out. I would have expected all the studs to sit flush and even. I just can't recall how my old studs sat in the block.
Thanks
Bob
PS: and all the studs/nuts on the left side (under the valve cover) look completely even
