TR4/4A Door seals

Can anyone recommend - from a successful restoration - door seals THAT REALLY FIT? I've heard nothing good about the Moss seals, know three people who sent back their TRF seals and just spoke to MacGregor who does not recommend the current outer seal that he has in stock.

I've also heard of people using the one-piece TR6 seal but that solution leaves the outer seal channel exposed, which doesn't look very well IMO.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I have two TR4's both with the surrey top option. I say this because it forces one to use the two seals. When I go tone of these cars it had the Tr6 one piece seal adn worked very well. The problem was that that did not work correctly for the outer fuzzy seal that is one continuous piece from one door front to the opposite door front. I used TRF seals for both cars and yes they are thick and cause the doors to be hard to shut. I suspect that is the complaint that others are having. The TR6 seal that came on the one car did a very good job of not being to thick. I would say it is a choice of utility or looks.

I used the original style two-piece seal from TRF. It was a bit stiff when new requiring more force to close the door - but they eventually took a set in a more compressed form and are fine now.

More importantly (to me anyway) is that the rubber seals are still good after 16 years on there (had to replace the fuzzy seal a couple of years ago).
