i have a 1959 bn6 that i have replaced the dash pad in recently. the pad was bought from moss and comes with no markings for fasteners etc. i would like to place the fasteners for the tonneau cover and have a question. do tonneau covers come with the hardware/snaps already affixed or is it up to the installer to match the tonneau attachments to the car attaching points?

Re: bn6 tonneau cover

The dash top mounting points include a turnbuckle on each corner, and a Tenax stud in the center, just to the right of the mirror. Turnbuckles are held by sheet metal screws that go through the dash pad and into the shroud. The Tenax stud also goes through the dash pad, but has a threaded nut to hold it. With the pad removed, the holes and nut should be visible, unless there's been some changes. On most of the new tonneau covers I have seen, snaps and fasteners are included, but not installed.

Re: bn6 tonneau cover

Most tonneau covers come without the snaps attached. They come in a packet and you have to fix them yourself, which is fun. makes sense though because all cars are slightly different.

i have the dash pad off of my 59 bn6 and there is not a single hole for the tenax stud fastener near the mirror. would this be up to the dealer or the owner to determine and then drill the hole when installing the tonneau cover? also was the nut for the tenax stud held in place by a factory installed captive nut or loose for the installer to place when adding the tonneau?
