Clearly the Bugeye has broken down and the young lady is waiting for the dependable TR6 to rescue her.

Come on an Umph rescuing anything?! - now you have gone too far - that is clearly too implausible even for this forum!

I'm just hoping she didn't scratch the paint.

I though she saw the Bugeye and was waiting to meet the guy who owned such a cool car.

The car appears to be pointed the wrong way on a one way street. Note how the traffic lights don't have a "back side"

No it is a 2 way street. There
are green traffic light signals on those lights.

Here's proof he rescued her. Picked her up and they stopped at a country Bed'n Breakfast. :rolleye:

She and the car are on Fifth Avenue at 59th Street in New York City. The building behind the trees is Bergdorf Goodman's department store and the building to the right is the Plaza Hotel. Fifth Avenue is indeed a one-way street going south and the car is parked going the wrong way.

Been on that corner more times than I could count. :encouragement:

She's pretty tall for a Bugeye, and I would say those heels would not help her ability to get in and out of it! I would add that it takes a brave person to drive a BE in Manhattan these days. Seems like the yellow cabs are being displaced by Uber drivers in black Suburbans. Thousands of them. They really don't care if you are in their way or not.

Now, if the driver backed up and proceeded west on 59th (also known as Central Park South) the horse drawn carriages gather around Sixth Avenue and it is pretty safe near them (except for the occasional road apple).

Thanks a bunch for that, Rick. I purchased my 64 Mk3 Sprite from "Flounder" and used to communicate occasionally with him on the Auto X list. Run into him occasionally at Road America as well. Fun bunch over by the lake!

Kurt.

Here she is again. The Bugeye has over heated and she’s waiting for it to cool. Her shoes have almost as much ground clearance as the car.

  Even though in my experience Triumph owners wouldn't have the first clue about what to do with a babe at a B&B - they would just want to pop the bonnet and talk carbs all night long. Just sayin.
