TR4/4A Which seat frame do I have?

Hi Guys! I've stripped my passenger seat down and would really appreciate your knowledge on what frame I have. My TR4 was built 10/23/1962, but my seat covers (per Moss pictures) are from a 4a. Are my frames from a 4a? The front of the passenger side has a small 'dent' in the lower rail that the driver's side doesn't appear to have (driver side is still covered). Am I correct that my lower frame shouldn't be 'dented'? Any ideas what the small chrome 'zerk' looking item is on the inboard side of the passenger seat frame? Thanks in advance for any help!

I hated to revive this old thread...https://www.britishcarforum.com/bcf/showthread.php?77715-tr4-tr4a-seat-frames

I'm not that familiar with the 4A seats but that certainly does not appear to be an early TR4 seat. Tom

I'm not either, but they sure do look like the illustration in the 4A SPC

They look identical to my TR4a seat frames.

Those are TR4a frames. A 62 TR 4 will have seat frames that look very close to TR3 frames. Main difference is seat pan has a dip in it. I think I may have a set left for pictures but will have to check.

I can't contribute to the conversation, as my seats are still under the old, incorrect, covers. But thanks to the details here, I will look here when I start to work on them!

I just wanted to say thank you for the post and discussion!

Thanks Randall! My spare parts PDF file ends with the BB overdrive plate...I've never seen the BG plate...again, Thanks!
Tim
EDIT: The dime finally dropped, if you have overdrive on BB then you're probably looking at a TR4 SPC rather than the 4A SPC. BB Overdrive is indeed the last plate in the TR4 version; but the TR4A version has overdrive details on plate BK.

FWIW Here's the TR4 seats illustration

Richard: Thanks! I found it late last night as a PDF on "tr4a.weebly". It's going to be my instruction manual. These seats were in my car when I bought it 9-1-1981. I'm sticking with them since the covers are in good enough shape to use as patterns. The foam was disintegrating daily. Always needed to vacuum the car. I owe a big thanks to Alan John Turner for documenting their TR4a seat effort!

Thanks Randall! I have the spare parts PDF that's all over the internet. It has two page 126s (# at bottom NOT PDF page) and is missing page 127. The last numbered page is 130. Here is a link to my bookmarked version.
https://tidentenn.com/pdf/TR4 Spare Parts Catalogue (bookmarked-p127 missing).pdf

Do you happen to have a page with 127 at the bottom...

Thanks again,
Tim

Just to be clear, that's the TR4 SPC, not the 4A. Different books. I have page 127, but it's from the 2nd edition while the PDF you linked to is the first edition. Might not be exactly the same information (but page 128 appears to be the same so maybe 127 is as well).
Here's a high rez scan, let me know if you need a different form.
