I'm surprised that after all of the blood letting over on BAT and the previous owners comments that the seller still persists in perpetrating this fraud! This should be grounds for a lawsuit.

Amazing isn't, I am normally a live and let live guy but this ****** me off.

I read the first page of comments but not the additional 224. I am overwhelmed and still not sure of the specifics of the fraud, but hopefully the bidder at 18k (or whatever the final bid turns out to be) will find enough evidence in there somewhere to negate the sale.
Maybe the bottom line is that eBay is not the place to buy cars. I've bought a couple of cars on eBay over the years, both grossly over represented, but I made that assumption before bidding and bid accordingly. Only got slightly burned.
Perhaps we should do a bit more trading on this forum's marketplace.

Incredible..an investigation shows an obvious attempt to deceive (and cover up)...then on top of that, the governing body fails to act. Shame on BAT. They lost my trust.

The nice thing about EBay motors is, you're NOT obligated to purchase the vehicle before seeing it/having it inspected. Unfortunately, the deposit (if the auction requires one) is non-refundable though. This happened to me with a Ford Expedition I was buying. The guy totally misrepresented it. When I got there, I turned it down. The guy gave me bad reviews and reported me to EBay, but in the end all of that was thrown out because their rules state you are not obligated to purchase the vehicle. The guy posted it the very next day, with all the same misrepresentations, and EBay did nothing about it. They don't care really. If you're smart, you'll know the rules and inspect the car before handing over any money. Not sure if BAT has any protections, as I have never bought anything there.

I got a response from the seller as to why they are lying about the condition of the car, again;

"The current description is an honest representation of the vehicle..."

Um, yeah, sure.
