TR2/3/3A Brass /delrin bushings on rear spring shackle?

Hey
anyone have an opinion on the advantage of Brass /delrin bushings on rear spring shackle compared to the regular rubber ones?

i'm more interested in a comfortable ride vs. performance, if That makes any difference.

also is there a better option to the silent bloc in the spring front eye?
( though I hate the thought of removing the old one)

thx

Unless you are going racing or running really wide tires, I'd stick with the stock bushings. No sense giving up ride quality for a miniscule improvement in handling if ride quality is more important to you.

Thx Randall
i' m going to stick with the OEM shackle bushings (not to mention the appeal of $8 bucks. Vs. $80.)

now I'm trying to decide if removing the old silent blocs from the front spring eye is worth the trouble, as they are not in terrible shape.
( they appear to be just a difficult to remove as the steerage linkage ones though)

do you know an easier way to remove them?
my technique has been :
drilling the rubber, sawing the metal housing & beating the day lights out of it.

As I recall, I pressed out the center sleeve (which was broken loose from the rubber so came out easy), then just pressed the new Silentbloc into place, forcing the old one out. The first time I didn't have a hydraulic press, so I did the same thing using threaded rod and various other pieces of "furniture". Possibly a 1.5" pipe nipple to receive the old outer sleeve as it came out, and a 1" pipe coupling to press against the outer sleeve of the new Silentbloc but I don't really recall offhand. I keep a pile of "found" objects like old bearing races and such for such purposes so it might have been one of those instead of a pipe fitting. Obviously, you don't want to press against the inner sleeve of the new one, as that might break the rubber/steel bond.
