TR4/4A Re: Trunk lid and handle assembly

I the UK we are more or less permanently wet for half the year.
Triumph painted these cars using a method called "sight-line only".
Basically if you couldn't see it they didn't paint it. So there...

TR4/4A Re: Trunk lid and handle assembly

I restore trunk-lids. This is a troublesome little part because it nearly touches the outer skin but not quite. These is a source for corrosion.

Could you weld it to the outer? Yes you could. Only...

We have a well respected supplier in the UK:

These often have better stuff than Moss.

I trade wiper-motors on ebay. Fully recon and have stock for all TRs except...

General TR Re: New Low for Ebay

In the UK we tend use the term "forged" for stuff that blacksmiths hit with a hammer and "casting" for other hot moulded items.
We are probably a bit sloppy about this.

General TR Re: New Low for Ebay

The TR cranks are very similar to Ferguson tractors made in the UK in 1950.
This is because they used an engine more or less in common with a Standard Vanguard.
The TR engine was a development of...

You are right. We do plan to manufacture 4-pot cranks.

In India they are already making a similar thing for Ferguson tractors.

We are taking the castings and finish machining them in the UK.

    Re: Elan wiper-motors

I think there is a special switch which has the "pot" part built into it. Presumably you pull and twist.

Usually on these two-speed motors you have a fixed resistance in the motor.
    The wiper...

    Elan wiper-motors

I just made a relica motor with the wiring to suit rheostat speed-control.

This started out as a "regular" DR3A.

Remember that the tapping size for a normal 3/8in UNC is 5/16in.
