    I would put a separate ground on the sending unit. To ground the unit I run a wire from the unit to the bolt that holds the tank strap in the front.

    check your OD, are you using the original OD with just 3/4 OD no 2nd? if thats the case, just cut off the extra connector for the second isolator switch.
