    Work on the firewall and scuttle has stopped. Need to sand blast the A post area to install new cage nuts so I can proceed with fitting the kick panels.

    Ercoupe landing *not* at O'Hare

    A post-war Ercoupe 415 made an emergency landing on Chicago's Lake Shore Drive on July 28. No one injured, and the aircraft looks pretty good to me.

    I agree with Derek and use Mobil 1 15W50 (10W50 is not available in the U.S.). It seems to stay cleaner longer then conventional

    Mineral oil is fine and does a good job but science has advanced and synthetic oils are better. They aren’t a necessity so no need to shell out

    the newer ones shown, again, loco number, MPC or Fundimensions, evilbait who knows, someone who knows, not much. Lots of those have fixed (dummy) couplers,
