I would be hard pressed to call this anything close to a Seven

And look at the ID of the high (a/o 23:20 3/8) bidder...only a fish car fan would want that abomination. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif

I dunno.. For the price right now it's not a bad deal.. Sure it looks unusual, but that would just make you the talk of the show. I'll bet it goes prety good with the V6, and it is a standard, not an auto..

If you pulled the gooney fenders and replaced them with cycle fenders, it would be a huge improvement. Then it might be sort of a real, real bad version of the Lotus Seven Mk. 4 (the plastic one). But the tail is still funny-looking.

Looked up the Scorhill company in my magic car encyclopedia... Yup, they existed... Apparently this car may be related to the Dutton according to the biography, as Dutton (according to that biography) sold off all their kit car designs in 1989...

It looks like a Dutton (not a good thing), so that's possible. Now I have to go gouge my eyes out to suppress the hideousness of it! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/pukeface.gif

Let's see,

Windshield (sorry, windscreen), looks 7-ish.
4 wheels
1 steering wheel
2 seats

Oh sure, I see the resemblance.

So true....but Ivan Dutton is still a cool guy. His newsletters are fun to read.

Except the Dutton of Dutton cars is Tim Dutton-Wooley not Ivan. And he is still making cars. One of which is an amphibious car. Here's a link to his personal web page http://www.timdutton.com (nothing there) and his Amphijeep web site: http://www.amphijeep.biz/ [image] This is a picture of my 1976 B+ (Malaga)[url=http://danmo.members.winisp.net/dutton/P8120093.JPG [/url] [image]
